On behalf of SILT, I would like to thank you for visiting our website and taking interest to learn about our Consultancy.

The history of SILT Consultants (P.) Ltd. can be traced back to one of the oldest yet inspired engineering consulting firm in the Country. Understanding the importance of consulting in various development sectors in Nepal, we inaugurated SILT in 1979 at the embryonic stage of consulting business working headed for achieving and pioneering the development towards Consulting Industry with the diversification of services into various fields of engineering, agriculture, rural development, environmental studies, social and economic studies, and community development/gender studies etc.

Our roots are important to us. As we evolve and grow, we understand that maintaining the integrity through a commitment to quality service, team member appreciation and delivering innovative, practical solutions to our clients is the key to our success.

The story of SILT Consultants (P.) Ltd. is told through our clients, our team and the communities in which we work. Over the past 40 years, SILT has stayed true to what we have always believed in – that ou r clients and professionals deserve our best – and this is still the foundation for our dynamic domestic and beyond operations today. SILT has completed more than 400 projects in various development sectors in all physiographic regions of Nepal, which also includes projects funded by bilateral and multilateral aid agencies including the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, USAID, JICA, DFID, GTZ, UNDP, UNOPS, KOICA, UNICEF etc. SILT has also provided services at international level in Afghanistan and Bhutan.

The combination of rich and diverse experience in consultancy sector of our 116 staff, professional expertise, and willingness to provide best services puts SILT in a strong position to provide consultancy services of a high standard with quality output to its clients. We believe our success is largely due to our unwavering commitment to provide our clients and our team with their own unique opportunities to thrive. Brief Profile of Managing Director

Mr. Keshav Kunwar holds a Master’s Degree in Civil and Structural Engineering, 1978, from the then USSR. (Hons), has more than 42 years of experience in various engineering projects. Mr. Kunwar as a Managing Director of the company since 1986 exhibits a high professional skill which is demonstrated by his experience as a Project Director, Team Leader and Subject Matter Specialist in more than 150 engineering projects. His foresight & entrepreneurial drive took SILT well beyond the confines of Nepal. Mr. Kunwar was the member of the Task Force on “Consulting Architectural and Engineering Industry in Nepal” constituted by the then His Majesty’s Government of Nepal from Dec. 11, 1988, to May 18, 1990, which eventually led to the establishment of the Society of Consulting Architectural and Engineering Firms (SCAEF), Nepal, in 1990. Since then, Mr. Kunwar has worked for one term (2 years) as Treasurer and three terms as Vice President of the SCAEF. He served as the President of SCAEF from 2004 to 2007 (4 years terms).

Mr. Kunwar has also been involved in many other organizations as member of Board of Directors  including Chairman of Construction Industry Training Centre and also Chairman of Nepal- Canda  Friendship and Cultural Society from 1998 to 2014.

Mr. Kunwar is also actively involved in Rotary and has served the organization holding various following positions :
